An example movie shortlist is loaded above — edit it, or clear it and add your own.
How the movie picker works
Streaming services are built for browsing, not deciding. Endless rows of thumbnails give you the illusion of choice while quietly eating the evening. Two films side by side is a question you can actually answer.
Replace the example shortlist below with whatever is in your watchlist, or paste a list of titles in one go. A few rounds later you will have one film and enough time left to watch it.
- Add your options. Type them one at a time, or paste a whole list in at once.
- Press Go. You will see two options side by side.
- Choose the one you prefer. The other one drops out of the running.
- Keep going until only your winner is left.
Tips for better results
- Add the films everyone half-remembers wanting to see, not just the new releases.
- Set Final Choices to 2 to end up with tonight's film and a backup for tomorrow.
- Watching with someone else? Alternate who taps, so neither of you gets to steer the whole thing.
Common questions
Does it know what is on streaming?
No, and that is deliberate. You add the titles you actually have access to, so every option on screen is something you can start watching immediately.
What if I have a very long watchlist?
Paste the whole thing in at once. Every round takes one film out of the running, so even a very long list narrows down quickly once you get going.
Can I use it for TV shows instead?
Yes. Series, documentaries, or individual episodes all work the same way. Add them as options and pick your way down to one.
